This is a wonderful work by indie author Stpehen Winter. Gamers and sleuths alike will enjoy it.
Murder Inferno quickly introduces us to the six person team known as De Donde. They make up a gaming group known as a khan and are the most popular in the world. After a lengthy exhibition they return to their shard home, which reminded me of Real World where they are on display all the time due to the nature of their industry. Streaming their gaming and reality lives. Shortly thereafter, a death in the house ensnares them in a mystery. Enter Lo'que LoWhite, a famous private eye who pairs with members of the police department to find whodunnit.
A magnificent debut that gives off Ready Player One and Murder on the Orient Express vibes. There wasn't a piece of this book that I didn't like, it was a very fun read with quite a few twists and as it turns out everyone has something to hide in this tale.
